COOLAH MPS Completed

Coolah MPS completed—hydraulics for the Multi Purpose Service, undertaken by A Murray & Sons—Commercial Division
The redevelopment contract was announced in November 2016. The build was awarded to Zauner Construction to carry out the main works construction. Hydraulics contract for Coolah MPS was awarded to A Murray & Sons, commercial plumbers by Zauners Construction.
Construction activities have been focusing on the two new Residential Aged Care wings. One extending to the east and south of the existing acute and Residential Aged Care sections.

The scope of the redevelopment was been expanded to include the refurbishment of the existing building to incorporate a new GP clinic. It will include two rooms and a treatment room, enabling the current GP services to be increased and the option of a GP registrar to work out of the MPS. The new GP clinic will be located at the front of the existing MPS.

Coolah’s nearest neighbouring health care service is in Dunedoo, over 45 kilometres away; with the closest major regional centre of Dubbo 135km away.

KIAMA Aged Care Development

“Since construction started in February, there were 27 different types of specialists working on this project. They include the people operating the earthmoving equipment to the civil and structural engineers, A Murray and Sons plumbers and the various specialist consultants focussing on landscaping, bushfire risk, heritage management and interior design.

The Blue Haven Bonaira aged care centre is being called the future of aged care and retirement living in Australia.

“People are looking for a place to live where they know they can age in place, and it’s very important that people who go into the independent living units know there’s help if they need it, they can press a button and there’s staff in the nursing home who can cater to their needs.

“As their needs become greater, they can move from independent living into the nursing home.”

A Murray and Sons was engaged by Catholic Healthcare to supply a complete design and construct package of the hydraulic services on the aged care facility project including fire pumping system and hot water plant room.

McQuoin Park is a new integrated development with a state of the art designed residential aged care service, retirement living units, a Health and Wellness Centre, onsite respite and community support services for seniors together with specifically designed dementia areas.
